Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between the Pure Air⁶ models?

The Air⁶ range is built around different riding priorities. The Air⁶ Suspension is the starting point, with dual suspension with GlideMotion™ and up to 45km of range. The Air⁶ Pro+ Suspension extends that to up to 75km with a 1200W maximum motor. The Air⁶ Ultra Suspension reaches up to 90km, and the Air⁶ Ultra Max Suspension adds 1900W of maximum power for our strongest hill climbing. See them side by side on the Air⁶ Suspension discover page.

Which Air⁶ scooter has the longest range?

The Air⁶ Ultra Suspension and Air⁶ Ultra Max Suspension both reach up to 90km (56 miles) on a single charge. The Air⁶ Pro+ Suspension reaches up to 75km (47 miles) and the Air⁶ Suspension up to 45km (28 miles). Actual range varies with rider weight, terrain, gradients and weather.

Which Air⁶ scooter is best for comfort?

Every Air⁶ model has dual suspension with GlideMotion™: front telescopic forks and rear twin shock absorbers that cushion small bumps and soften larger impacts. All four also use 10 inch enhanced-grip tubeless tyres, so the ride stays stable and comfortable on everyday surfaces.

Are Pure Air⁶ scooters waterproof?

They are water resistant. Every Air⁶ model has an IP65 rating, which protects against dust and water jets, so rain and puddles are fine. They are not designed to be submerged. Our guide explains whether electric scooters are water resistant, what IP65 covers and how to dry your scooter after a wet ride.

What top speed do the Air⁶ scooters have?

Every Air⁶ model has a top speed of 25km/h (15.5mph). What changes is how easily each one gets there and holds it on a climb, with maximum motor power of 924W, 1200W or 1900W depending on the model.

Which Air⁶ scooter is best for hills?

The Air⁶ Ultra Max Suspension is the strongest climber, with 1900W maximum power and gradients of up to 36%. The Air⁶ Ultra Suspension handles up to 23%, the Air⁶ Pro+ Suspension up to 19% and the Air⁶ Suspension up to 14%, which suits most everyday urban riding.

How much do the Air⁶ scooters weigh?

The Air⁶ Suspension is the lightest at 21.4kg, followed by the Air⁶ Pro+ Suspension at 23.0kg, the Air⁶ Ultra Suspension at 23.5kg and the Air⁶ Ultra Max Suspension at 26.2kg. The extra weight buys you more range and power.

What braking and steering features do the Air⁶ scooters have?

Every Air⁶ model has a front drum brake and a rear KERS regenerative brake, and the Air⁶ Ultra Max Suspension adds a rear disc brake. The Air⁶ Ultra Suspension and Air⁶ Ultra Max Suspension also have Active Steering Stabilisation™, which helps keep the steering centralised and dampens unwanted side-to-side movement.

What is the maximum rider weight for the Air⁶ scooters?

All Air⁶ models are designed for a single rider and support a maximum load of 120kg, including any bags or items you are carrying.

Which Air⁶ scooter should I choose?

For most riders, the Air⁶ Suspension at £399 is the best place to start. Choose the Air⁶ Pro+ Suspension (£449) for longer rides, the Air⁶ Ultra Suspension (£549) for maximum range, or the Air⁶ Ultra Max Suspension (£649) for the most powerful ride. The Air⁶ Ultra Max discover page has the detail on our most powerful model. Coming from an Air⁵? Our Air⁵ vs Air⁶ guide explains what has changed.

Can I ride a Pure Air⁶ scooter on public roads in the UK?

No. It is currently only legal to use an e-scooter on private land with the permission of the landowner. It is illegal to ride an e-scooter on a public road, cycle path, bridleway or pavement.
